Compulsory Medical Services (PZS)

The law on the protection, promotion and development of public health Act.No.355/2007 Coll.Obliges employers to have compulsory medical services for all businesses that have staff from 1 January 2015.

The obligation applies to companies that have employees in the first or the second work category. This also applies to the companies with only one shareholder, in which its owner is employed. If a company employs only part time employees, it is compulsory to have health service (PZS) for them too.

This obligation also applies to self-employed persons.

Compulsory medical services within the framework of medical supervision of working conditions should, in particular, assess the working environment and health risks that threaten the health of workers at work and to draw up proposals for the categorization of work tasks in terms of health risks.

Obligations of the employer

If the employers fail to establish compulsory medical services(PZS) for employees, he runs the risk of the incursion of fine from the Office of public health from 150 to 20 000 euros.
